Verona is the romance city. Legend has it that Romeo and Juliet fell in love here in the Middle Ages. You can visit Juliet’s house and her tomb, but what visitors do not know is that Romeo’s house is right next door! Verona is also a city with timeless charm, thanks to the color of its buildings, the sumptuousness of its palaces and its warm terraces that take on unreal colors as night falls.  For a bird’s eye view of the city, climb the bell tower of the Palazzo della Ragione.

Then there’s the Roman Arena. What could be more romantic than listening to an operatic masterpiece in this fabulous testimony to Latin antiquity? In the exceptional setting of the amphitheater, the Verona Arena Festival (since 1913) welcomes the world’s finest singers in spectacular operatic productions. This year, the festival is offering an exceptional performance of Tosca, with a vocal cast featuring the elite of international singing: Jonas Kaufmann and Ludovic Tézier.
