The Salzburg Easter Festival is one of Austria’s most prestigious cultural events. Founded in 1967 by legendary conductor Herbert von Karajan, the festival attracts music lovers from all over the world, offering an exceptional program of concerts, operas and theatrical performances.
During the Easter season, Salzburg is transformed into a classical music capital, where the most renowned orchestras and soloists perform in historic venues such as the Großes Festspielhaus and the Haus für Mozart.
The 2025 edition is no exception! Maxim Emelyanychev, Emily Pogorelc, Wiebke Lehmkuhl, Pene Pati, Andrè Schuen, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Malé Galyoan and many others will be among the big names on the Festival bill.
Major choirs and orchestras will also be on hand, including the Chorus of the Bayerischen Rundfunks and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. A host of composers will also be in the spotlight, from Bartholdy, Mahler and Grieg to Tschaikowski and Schotakowitsch.
