Come enjoy the wonders of summer in Stockholm. In Scandinavia, life flows slowly and the light shines in sumptuous colors.

After the renewal of spring, the “Northen Venice” grows just like a beautiful seasonal plant, and the cultural liveliness, well-flourished since the other times of the year, is filled with vitality and youth. We invite you to explore this stupendous city built above water (fourteen islands connected by bridges!) and to enjoy each experience it has to offer.

Surprisingly, summer is the best season for visiting the Swedish capital. This one is adorned with sumptuous colors and unique cultural excitement. As a brilliant European capital built above water, Stockholm is a fascinating city filled with history, to which you’re invited to discover throughout a convivial and lively tour.

    DAY 1 – STOCKHOLM

    Free arrival at Stockholm’s airport.

Welcome to the Swedish capital, a collection of elegance, tradition and expertise. After your arrival, your chauffeur will be waiting for you in the arrival hall to drive you to your hotel: the refined Villa Dagmar.

Enjoy a calm first evening in the muffled atmosphere of Villa Dagmar.

    DAY 2 - STOCKHOLM

Extending on fourteen islands at the junction of the Mälar lake and the Baltic Sea, Stockholm reveals a unique maritime charm. Your exploration will begin at the Royal Palace, one of the largest royal residences of Europe, which remains officially the Swedish King’s. More than 600 rooms conceal treasures and historical stories.

Then, get to the Drottningholm Palace, inspired by French models and the work of the architect Nicodemus Tessin l’Ancien dedicated to the Queen Hedvig Eleonora. Nowadays, one wing of the palace remains the residence of its majesty, the King and the Queen, whereas the garden and the historical living rooms welcome visitors all year.

Back in the city after a lunch break, explore the fascinating Vasa Museum, dedicated to the only war ship of the 17th century entirely preserved in the world. A truthful artwork adorned with sumptuous sculptures.

Carry on with an original immersion in Spirit museum, a reflection of the gustative and cultural Swedish spirit. Then immerse yourself in the emblematic universe of the ABBA museum, an interactive place, in which you will become the fifth member of the famous foursome for a chorus.

For the evening, you will get back to the tranquil comfort of Villa Dagmar.

    DAY 3 – STOCKHOLM

Head to the Mariefred, a historic village located a little more than an hour drive from Stockholm. Beating heart of the city: the Gripsholm castle, a fortress of the 14th century, brought out by King Gustav Vasa. Explore its rooms and galleries filled with the national portrait collection, recounting the Swedish history until now.

Offer yourself a romantic promenade in the Castle’s Park, or an unexpected encounter with the fallow deer in the natural reserve of Hjorthagen.

Not far away from there, discover the ruins of the Kärnbo Church, built during the 12th century and abandoned since the 17th century. A runic stone from the 11th century is set on its porch, a silent witness from the past.

Back in Stockholm for a free evening and a peaceful night at the Villa Dagmar.

    DAY 4 – STOCKHOLM

Board on an exploration journey on a private yacht in the center of the Stockholm archipelago. Navigate between strict strait, centenary residences and modern villas, before getting to savage bays and preserved islands.

After an on-board breakfast, escape towards the East following the direction of the insular treasures chosen by your guide for lunch (to pay on site).

Continue your cruise towards the South to admire the abundant nature and the local fauna: perhaps you will have a chance to see some seals and seagulls.

Back in Stockholm at the end of the day, with a free evening.

    Night at Villa Dagmar.

    DAY 5 – STOCKHOLM

One hour away from the capital discover the Gamla Uppsala, a high place of legends and ancestral rites since the 3rd century. The local museum reveals the wealth of the myths and the royal sepultures of this emblematic site of Scandinavia.

Continuing with the Uppsala Castle tour, an impressive Renaissance fortress initiated by Gustav Vasa during the 16th century and affected by numerous reconstructions. Nowadays, the Uppsala Art Museum and the Vasaborgen reside in this place.

Not so far away, admire the majestic Uppsala Cathedral, built in 1270 and restored several times throughout the centuries. Then, immerge yourself in the universe of Carl von Linné, an emblematic figure in Botanic: his garden, a real collection of biodiversity in the center of the city, and his summer residence of Hammarby will demonstrate to you the intimacy of his genius spirit.

By the evening, returning to Stockholm and a night at the Villa Dagmar.

    DAY 6 - STOCKHOLM

That morning, meet up with your guide for a gourmet excursion in the middle of Hay Market Hall: between traditional shops and modern restaurants, discover the northern flavors through a seven-step degustation that will make a memorable meal.

In the afternoon, get back on an adventure in the archipelago by zodiac to explore the islands and their shorelines, also going along by the National Museum Djurgården, Grona Lund and the Vasa Museum.

During the evening, live a guided wildlife safari: observe elks, deers, boars and raptors, on foot or by car, to catch the wild essence of the Swedish nature.

Returning for your last night at the Villa Dagmar.

    DAY 7 - STOCKHOLM

Final clap for this northern stay: your chauffeur will drive you to the airport, spirit and luggage filled with precious souvenirs and memorable moments.
