Orange, nicknamed the “City of Princes”, enjoys an ideal setting. The city itself has two important witnesses of the Roman era: the Arc de Triomphe and the Ancient Theatre, monuments classified as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The Chorégies d’Orange are now the oldest French festival, dating back to 1869. But over the years they have managed to retain all their originality: by the name they bear, derived from the Greek choreos, which links them to the Greco-Latin tradition; by the place in which they take place every summer: a perfectly preserved ancient theatre; by the lyrical and musical vocation they have given themselves.
So let yourself be seduced by the sweet dream.
