City of the Medici and cradle of beauty, Florence opens its doors for a few privileged days to a circle of enlightened travellers: the Fugueurs. Within the prestigious setting of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Beethoven’s Symphonies resound beneath the modern vaults of the theatre, lending the city of arts with an heroic and universal resonance.

Yet this journey extends far beyond the concert hall: it seeks the inner echo of the music.

Guided by Andrea, an impassioned specialist of the Florentine Renaissance, the Fugueurs explore the palaces and chapels where humanism took root; they step, into private openings, into places rarely accessible: the Uffizi Gallery, the workshops of the Commesso Fiorentino (the authentic art of Florentine stone inlay), the Palazzo Guicciardini… jewels normally closed to the public, opened exclusively for the Fugueurs. A surprise evening also awaits you on the heights of Fiesole.

Alongside these moments of privilege, two exclusive musical talks by Lama Tyan illuminate the composer’s major works – from the heroism of the Third Symphony to the fraternal exaltation of the Ninth – offering depth and clarity to each performance.

Refined cocktails in private palaces, encounters of rare distinction and moments of freedom compose a Fugue where pleasure and culture move in harmony.

In Florence, the Renaissance enters dialogue with Beethoven, and the soul of music regains its most universal dimension: a celebration of beauty and of the human spirit.

Breakfast at the hotel.

The morning opens under the sign of light and humanist faith, guided once again by Andrea.

From the majestic Santa Maria Novella – where the dawning perspective unfolds in Ghirlandaio’s frescoes – to the serene cloisters of San Marco, adorned with the luminous visions of Fra Angelico, each site reveals an intimate facet of Florentine genius. The visit concludes at Santa Croce, the pantheon of Italy’s great minds – from Michelangelo to Galileo – where art becomes remembrance and elevation.

The Fugueurs then enjoy a private visit to the Museo dell’Opificio delle Pietre Dure and its workshops, the very heart of Florentine craftsmanship. Between semiprecious stone inlays and centuries-old techniques, this encounter unveils the artisanal mastery that carried Florence’s reputation across the world.

Lunch at leisure, followed by a free afternoon to embrace the city’s gentle rhythm or simply surrender to Florentine dolcezza.

Evening highlight: a private opening of the Uffizi Gallery.

In the tranquil hush of an emptied museum, Botticelli, Leonardo and Raphael converse in an almost sacred silence. This contemplative, fully guided discovery concludes with a refined dinner beneath the vaulted ceilings of the Parione restaurant, a short stroll from the Arno.

These captivating encounters offer an immersion in the musical, literary and historical context of a chosen work, highlighting its most remarkable interpretations and stagings.

Over the years, Lama has developed profound expertise in opera, welcoming both seasoned music lovers and newcomers to her programme of lyrical appreciation.

She invites enthusiasts to explore this rich artistic microcosm, where music, poetry, staging and visual arts have converged for four centuries. Her path towards opera is, as she describes it, a return to her roots, nourished by a childhood steeped in classical music.
