It is a confidential Norway offering itself to you. One of the big silences and vertical landscapes, sculpted by time and wind. From UNESCO World Heritage Fjords to pastel villages set amid sea and mountains, each day, nature reveals its purest version.

Bergen, its leaning wood houses towards the sea, its delicate and warm atmosphere: everything invites the visitor to slowly slide in the fjords to discover breathtaking nature.

Then Oslo, one of the most stunning destinations. Set in a fjord, the city benefits from an extraordinary situation: from the Akershus fortress, we admire magnificent views of the port. By cruise, we explore the surrounding islands. But it’s the atmosphere of Oslo that seduces and enchants visitors. A casual vibe rules in this human-sized city, especially in the pleasant district of Grünerløkka. Amid the capital’s pearl, the famous Munch Scream, the longboat from the Vikings boat Museum but also the surprising Sculptures Park of Vigeland.

    DAY 1 - BERGEN

    Free arrival in Bergen.

On your arrival, meet your chauffeur at Bergen airport and regain your accommodation, where your guide is waiting for you. The latter will introduce the trip and give you time for packing out before beginning the tour.

    Optional: Gourmet tour

This tour will bring to light the local products, the culinary traditions and the fascinating culture of the inhabitants. You will taste the city’s specialties on this trip that also includes a visit to the Bryggen UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a meal in a charming local restaurant. The last stage is planned in a historic basement of the 1300’s.

    DAY 2 - BERGEN

Your journey will begin with the panoramic crossing of the Bergen center: let yourself drive through its lively arteries, passing by the secular fortress of Bergenhus, the picturesque fish market, the Vågen Bay and of course the must-see Bryggen Quay. This Hanseatic district, a World Heritage Site, testifies the commercial glow of the city at the Hanseatic Ligue time, between the 14th and the 16th century.

Then, head to the majestic waters: Go on board from the historic heart for a memorable cruise along the fjords. While Bergen is getting far away little by little, offer yourself the pleasure of admiring a splendid nature: abrupt mountains, narrow strays like the mythical Mostraumen, shining waterfalls we rub until feeling its freshness, and perhaps, around the bend of a promontory, the royal flying of a sea eagle. On board, the bar offers local sweets and refreshing drinks to enjoy, whether you choose the great air of outdoors bridges or the muffled comfort of the outdoor saloon.

Back on the firm ground, the adventure continues with the ascent of the Fløyen Mount thanks to the charming Fløibanen funicular. At more than 300 meters altitude, a splendid panoramic view embraces the city and its surroundings, offering a unique perspective on the collection of mountains and sea surrouding Bergen.

The day will end in the tranquility of your destination, the Opus XVI, a characterful house in the middle of the city.

Option for adventurous souls: trek in the Bergen Mounts

Nested in the middle of the Seven Mountains, Bergen reveals vast spaces to devotees on a varied trail network, allowing fugue and contemplation. Amid peaceful forests, secret waterfalls and vertiginous views, each step is an invitation to reconnect with pure and catchy nature. Put on appropriate shoes, free your mind and let the mountain transfer its energy to you.

    DAY 3 - BERGEN & HARDANGER

In the morning, take the direction of the unique Hardangerfjord: here, the road itself becomes a show, unrolling a succession of panoramic views of a touching majesty. Amid glowing fjords, abrupted topography, peaceful lakes and growling waterfalls, each bend reveals an eternal Norway, sculpted through the centuries. There must be a stop to admire the two natural jewels: Fossen Bratte and Steinsdalsfossen, emblematic waterfalls of which power and elegance awaken delight.

Your journey continues in Norheimsund, where a maritime human-sized Museum opens its doors to you. This lively collection is a tribute to our ancestors’ expertise: forge, rope manufacturing, navy carpentry… everything invites you to get your hands dirty and to reconnect with the ancient moves. Small boats, wood figurines, marine knots: each one leaves enriched by handmade memories.

After crossing by ferry in the peaceful waters of the fjord, regain the picturesque village of Jondal. Here, the mountain is familiar with the sea: the Folgefonna glacier seems to be watching on the beaches, while the Swiss chalets and buildings punctuate this scene of unique charm.

The day ends in the sweetness and comfort of your refuge for the night, the Ullensvang Hotel, haven on the bank of the fjord.

Option for adventurers: glacial trek on the Folgefonna

For rare sensations amateurs, the trek on the Folgefonna assures an intimate communion with the millennian ice. Starting from the ski center, your skilled guide will equip you and lead you to the center of this white desert, amid immaculate plateaus and crevasse labyrinths. The top is a must-stop: the look embraces the North Sea and the alpine peaks of Rosendal, while a picnic completes this perched moment out of time.

    DAY 4 – HARDANGER & FLÅM

The morning will begin with a tour at Eidfjord Natursenter, a modern and ludic center dedicated to the natural and cultural wonders of the region. On three levels of expositions ingeniously staged, you will explore the wealth of the fauna, the landscapes diversity, the secrets of the northern climate and the deep links between Human and its environment. Amid dioramas, innovative aquariums and interactive stations, each step is an invitation to understand better and cherish this splendid nature.

Following this discovery, you will take the direction towards a traditional farm specialized in apple cider production. In the middle of the orchard, the passionate farmers will share their expertise and their family stories, inviting you at the same time to a genuine degustation: fresh apple juice, fizzy cider, dry lamb leg, and other local sweets will please your papillae. If the weather allows it, the orchard and the smokehouse will also open their doors, revealing the backstage features of these refined flavors.

The afternoon will be a sign of a rail escape. Go on board the famous railway line Flåmsbana, snaking in mountain’s side until Myrdal station, perched at 867 meters. Throughout your trip will be showing vertiginous waterfalls, incised canyons and majestic tops. A photographic stop at the Kjosfossen waterfall will complete this extraordinary ascent, forever impressing these landscapes in your memory.

Your next stage is Gudvangen, a real door towards the past: here in the Viking Valley, the residents of Njardarheimr perpetuate the art of living out of ancient Vikings. Disguised and passionate, they recount with devotion the journeys by Drakkar, the battles, and the traditions that built the present Norway. You will be able to participate in some typical activities, for an immersive journey in the center of a past millennial.

The afternoon will be extended to Vik, to admire a treasure of the Norwegian Middle Ages: the standing wood Church of Hopperstad, built around the year 1130. Believed to be one of the most ancient and yet standing Churches in Norway, it embodies with its three naves and its Borgund architecture the mystical beauty of these northern sanctuaries, beautifully restored at the end of the 19th century.

Care option: sauna on the bank of the fjord

To extend this northern immersion, offer yourself a moment of serenity in a traditional sauna, nested closest to the fjord waters. The changes between the calming warm of the wood and the refreshing cold of a dip in these crystalline streams is a real ode to the Norwegian tradition of well-being. More than a plain bath, it is an energizing and refreshing parenthesis that pleases the body and awakens the spirit.
