On the one hand, Donizetti’s Marie Stuart, one of the most spectacular operas in the bel canto repertoire, with the immense soprano Ermonela Jaho, and on the other, a recital by Bryn Terfel in which the Welsh baritone sings (and plays!) the full range of human emotions.
